This Fresnel beacon is totally solar powered; no more pesky electrical wires or clumsy extensions cord to run. Our solar beacons require no maintenance or servicing for at least five years. Rated by the US Coast Guard for 2 nautical miles. Approximate electrical comparison would be equivalent to a 10 watt bulb. At dusk, the solar beacon is "activated" and it will be discharging it's batteries while emitting light output. At dawn, it will turn off, and its solar panels will begin to recharge its batteries.
